This year, TEDxBatonRouge has been chosen to be a TED Countdown anchor event. Just one of 19 events worldwide and two events nationally, Louisiana is being spotlighted on the global stage in the international conversation about climate solutions.
TEDxBatonRouge is a community-connecting, idea-elevating, discussion-starting experience. It’s a space for the leaders, thinkers, doers, and dreamers of our community to gather and explore possibilities for Baton Rouge and celebrate the brilliant ideas baked right here at home.
Ideas Change Everything
In the spirit of ideas change everything, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxBatonRouge, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxBatonRouge event, a lineup of speakers will spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
